Genuine MerCruiser Rochester TBI Flame Arrestor - Part Number: 806637A1

A genuine used MerCruiser flame arrestor for selected GM V6 and V8 electronic-fuel-injection engines fitted with a Rochester throttle-body injection system.

The arrestor mounts over the throttle body and allows the engine to draw combustion air while helping contain flame if an intake backfire occurs. It is used on selected 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L MerCruiser EFI applications.

🔌 Function

The flame arrestor allows intake airflow while helping prevent a carburettor or throttle-body backfire from igniting fuel vapour in the engine compartment. Its mesh must remain clean and undamaged to maintain airflow and flame containment.
