🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta cam from the Cooling System group, weighing 0.082 kg. It belongs to the same seawater pump family as impeller 803729, cap 803724, sealing ring 804695 and spacer 807131 — the cam is the eccentric insert the impeller vanes sweep against.
⚙️ Key Features
- 0.082 kg
- Cooling System group
- Eccentric insert for the pump that takes impeller 803729
- Wearing part of the pump set
🔌 Function
Provides the eccentric wall the impeller vanes bear on, so each vane is squeezed and released to pump water through.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Weak water flow at the exhaust outlet even with a new impeller
- Cam face scored, grooved or worn where the vanes run
- Cam loose in the housing or its retaining screw slack
- Impellers failing prematurely, one after another
🛠️ Service Notes
- Renew the cam whenever it is grooved — a scored cam will destroy new impellers repeatedly
- Fit a new gasket or sealing ring when the pump is reassembled
- Check the cam is seated square and its fastener secure before closing the pump
📦 Condition
- Genuine Volvo Penta part
- Brand new
- Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
