⚙️ Key Features

  • 24 mm long
  • Supersedes 835464, catalogued earlier as a spacer washer
  • 0.026 kg
  • 46 applications across six engine series
  • L=24mm (Volvo assembly listing)

🔌 Function

Holds two clamped faces a fixed distance apart so the fastener can be torqued without distorting the mounting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Alternator or drive mounting working loose
  • Sleeve ends dished or hammered over
  • Rattle from the mounting under vibration
  • Sleeve bowed, crushed or split

🛠️ Service Notes

  • The old number 835464 was a spacer washer, so an engine built with washers may need this one-piece 24 mm sleeve instead - check what is fitted
  • Confirm alternator alignment after fitting, since spacing sets the belt line
