🔧 Product Description

Genuine Mercury Quicksilver Flagship Fuel Level Gauge - Part Number: 79-825287A1

A genuine used Mercury Quicksilver Flagship fuel-level gauge for conventional 12-volt marine fuel sender systems.

The black-face gauge with blue graduations displays EMPTY-to-FULL tank level through a matched resistive sender and forms part of the Flagship instrument family.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Genuine Mercury Quicksilver OEM Flagship fuel gauge
  • Original Mercury part number 79-825287A1
  • Black face, blue graduations and black bezel
  • Designed for standard analog marine fuel-level systems
  • Complete 825287A1 / 859692A1 / 895291A01 supersession family

🚤 Compatibility

Commonly used on

  • Mercury Flagship-series instrument panels
  • 12-volt marine fuel tanks fitted with a compatible resistive sender

Typically suits

  • Engine models:
  • Mercury and Mariner outboard-powered boats using a stand-alone analog fuel sender
  • MerCruiser sterndrive and inboard boats using a stand-alone analog fuel sender
  • Marine tanks using the common US 240-33 ohm sender range when gauge calibration matches
  • HP Range: Not engine-specific
  • Engine Type: 12-volt marine fuel-level instrumentation
  • Year Range: Approximately 1990s - 2000s

🔌 Function

The gauge converts resistance from the tank sender into an EMPTY-to-FULL indication. Accurate operation depends on sender resistance, float movement, stable power and a clean tank ground.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Gauge remains permanently on EMPTY or FULL
  • Reading changes because the sender float binds
  • Corroded sender wiring causes an intermittent reading
  • Incorrect sender resistance produces false fuel levels
  • Backlighting or internal gauge movement fails
