828412 Washer | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta washer of the late type, from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 0.215 kg and listed for 42 applications across TMD, AD, D, TAMD and HS series engines. It supersedes part number 828294, which was catalogued in Swedish as an expanderbricka - an expander washer - which confirms this is the washer that works with expander 828293 rather than a plain flat washer.

🚤 Compatibility

• Engine Family: TMD, AD, D, TAMD, HS
• HP Range: 40-75 HP

• 0.215 kg

🔌 Function

Spreads the screw load onto the expander so the joint pulls up evenly and stays gripped.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Joint working loose despite retightening
• Washer dished, cracked or corroded thin
• Uneven witness marks showing the load was not spread
• Expander bore scored where the washer should bear

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is the late type - check the fitted washer, as the earlier number was listed as an expander washer
• Renew expander 828293 and screw 828410 at the same time, as they make up one joint
