• 6 applications on AQ and BB series engines
• Supersedes 831707 and 831211
• Fuel System group

🔌 Function

Carries fuel along a fixed route between two components, holding the union faces square so the joints stay tight under vibration.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Diesel smell or a wet film around a union
• Air drawn into the system, giving hard starting and a hunting idle
• Pipe chafed, kinked or cracked at a bend
• Union face bruised from overtightening so it will not seal
• Pipe clips missing so the line has been left to vibrate

🛠️ Service Notes

• Two earlier numbers, 831707 and 831211, both lead to this pipe, so an old number alone will not tell you which arrangement the engine had
• Renew the sealing washers at both unions and refit every clip, since an unsupported fuel pipe fractures from vibration
• Bleed the system and check for weeps with the engine running, because a fuel leak in an engine space is a fire risk
