🔌 Function

Carries fuel through a hollow bolt into a banjo eye, letting a pipe join a component at an angle in a compact space.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fuel weeping between the banjo and the housing
  • Air drawn into the fuel system, giving hunting or stalling
  • Sealing washers flattened and hardened on removal
  • Blocked internal drilling starving the component of fuel
  • Thread or nipple head damaged from previous overtightening

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit new sealing washers each side of the banjo eye - they are single use and are the usual cause of a weep
  • Blow the internal drilling through before fitting, and torque the bolt rather than pulling it up hard
