🔌 Function

Sets the axial gap between two components, holding them at the spacing the assembly needs to run correctly.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Clearance or end float outside specification
  • Rumble or knock from a loose running assembly
  • Faces of the ring worn, stepped or scored
  • Ring cracked or displaced from its seat
  • Wear marks showing contact with a rotating face

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Spacer ring 839671 at 0.011 kg covers 17 applications and looks the same in the listing — the 4 gram difference will not separate them, so order by part number
  • Check the clearance you are setting with a gauge rather than assuming the ring thickness is correct
