⚙️ Key Features

  • For fan guard 78467466
  • Supersedes 787438
  • 0.018 kg
  • 122 applications across six engine series

🔌 Function

Sets the standoff between the fan guard and its mounting so the guard sits clear of the fan.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fan guard sitting closer to the fan than it should
  • Guard rattling or drumming in service
  • Sleeve crushed or shortened by overtightening
  • Bore worn where the fixing passes through
  • Rust scaling that seizes the sleeve on the bolt

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit every sleeve the guard uses — a missing spacer lets the guard flex towards a turning fan, which is a hand injury risk
  • Do not overtighten and crush the sleeves, and check the guard clearance by hand before starting the engine
