🔌 Function

Controls the movement of oil or coolant within the engine, damping surge and directing flow so the fluid stays where it is needed under vessel motion.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Oil pressure flickering or dropping momentarily in a seaway
• Aeration or foaming visible in the oil
• The plate cracked or split at a fixing point on removal
• Fixings loose, missing or backed out
• Fretting marks where the plate has been vibrating against its seat

🛠️ Service Notes
