Full model list at the end of this description.
⚙️ Key Features
- 0.059 kg
- 109 applications across six engine series
- Fuel System group
- Normally renewed alongside sealing ring 848740
🔌 Function
Closes off a fuel system port or fitting, holding the seal beneath it against system pressure.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Fuel seeping from under the cap
- Diesel smell or wet film around the fitting
- Air leaks causing rough running or hard starting
- Cap found distorted, cross-threaded or corroded
- Cap loosening in service despite being tightened
🛠️ Service Notes
- Order sealing ring 848740 with it - the two sit together and the seal is single use
- Check the thread in the housing before fitting; a picked-up thread will not hold a new cap
- Tighten to a firm seat rather than over-tightening, which distorts the cap
📦 Condition
- Genuine Volvo Penta part
- Brand new
- Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
