848924 Fan | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta fan 890 mm in diameter, from the Cooling System group, weighing 15.948 kg and listed for 26 applications across TWD, TMD, TID, TD, TAMD and TAD series engines. The 890 mm diameter is shared with fan 848925, so the weight and fitment are what separate them.

🚤 Compatibility

• Engine Family: TWD, TMD, TID, TD, TAMD, TAD

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

• 890 mm diameter
• 15.948 kg
• 26 applications across six engine series
• Over 5 kg lighter than the other 890 mm fan, 848925
• 890mm / 900mm (Volvo assembly listing)

🔌 Function

Draws air through the radiator core to carry away the heat the coolant has picked up from the engine.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Engine running hot at low speed or under sustained load
• New vibration or rumble from the front of the engine
• Blades found cracked, chipped or bent
• Rivets or fixings loose at the hub
• Marks in the cowling where a blade has been touching

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fan 848925 shares the 890 mm diameter but weighs 21.12 kg and is listed for 13 applications - diameter alone will not tell them apart, so order by part number
• Never straighten a bent blade; an out-of-balance fan will destroy the drive bearings
• Check the drive belt, tensioner and fan bracket 848996 while the fan is off, and keep clear of the fan whenever the engine can be started
