🔌 Function

Anchors inlet or exhaust pipework to the engine so the joints are not carrying the weight of the run.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Pipework sagging or hanging on its joints
• Cracks at the bolt holes or at a bend in the bracket
• Heat scaling and flaking on the face nearest the exhaust
• Rattle or buzz from the pipe run that stops when the bracket is held
• Bolt holes worn oval

🛠️ Service Notes

• Two lighter siblings sit alongside it: 849316 at 0.136 kg for TID, TD and TAD, and 849317 at 0.100 kg for TWD, TID and TD, so check the part number rather than the shape
• Fit the bracket before final tightening of the pipe joints so the run is not pulled into strain
