Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Late type
  • Supersedes 959442, formerly catalogued as a screw
  • 216 applications across six engine series
  • Plastic washer.
  • Installation hardware for the long hub and short hub propellers, 200 to 290 and SP drives.

🔌 Function

Gives the fastener a low-friction plastic bearing face and keeps metal-to-metal contact off the surface underneath.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fastener that will not stay at its set torque
  • Squeaking or creaking from the joint
  • Washer cracked, split or crushed thin
  • Washer distorted by heat or overtightening
  • Scoring on the surface the washer should have protected

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Screw 850889 also supersedes 959442 and is the late type screw for the same job, so the old single number now leads to two current parts and both may be needed
  • Do not overtighten against a plastic washer, since crushing it defeats the whole point of fitting one
