🔌 Function

Adds a measured 0.05 mm to a stack so that bearing clearance or endfloat comes out on specification.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Endfloat or backlash outside specification when measured
• Whine or rumble from the bearing under load
• Shim found dished, curled or fretted
• Bright polished witness marks on the faces either side

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is the thinnest step available here at 0.05 mm and it is the only one quoted with a 43 mm diameter, so check the diameter as well as the thickness
• Shims are selective - measure the assembly and build up to the figure rather than replacing like for like
