⚙️ Key Features

• Supersedes 852368
• 1.962 kg
• 94 applications across the MD, TMD, AQ, AD, AQAD and D families
• Bolted shaft-to-gearbox coupling flange

🔌 Function

Forms the bolted joint between the gearbox output and the propeller shaft, transmitting drive torque and taking the propeller's thrust into the coupling.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration through the hull that changes with shaft speed
• Rust staining or fretting marks at the flange faces
• Bolts found loose, or their holes worn oval
• Visible run-out when the shaft is turned by hand
• Flange face pitted or corroded so it no longer seats flat

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check shaft alignment after fitting - a flange is only as good as the alignment behind it, and a misaligned coupling will destroy the shaft seal and bearings
• Renew the coupling bolts and their locking rather than reusing them
• Clean both mating faces back to bare metal so the flange seats square
