⚙️ Key Features

  • Supersedes 183729
  • 0.692 kg
  • 137 applications across the MD, TMD, AQ, AD, AQAD and D families

🔌 Function

Supports a rotating shaft with rolling elements between hardened races, carrying the radial and thrust loads with very little friction.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Rumbling, growling or whining that rises with shaft speed
  • Roughness or notchiness felt when the shaft is turned by hand
  • Play in the shaft that was not there before
  • Metallic glitter in the drained oil
  • Races found pitted, blued or brinelled on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Find out why the old bearing failed before fitting a new one - water in the oil, a failed seal or misalignment will take out the replacement just as quickly
  • Renew the shaft seals at the same time, and fit the bearing by pressing on the race that is being interference-fitted, never through the balls
