Genuine Volvo Penta aluminium single propeller with a long hub, from the High-speed series for the 200, 250, 270, 275, 280, 285, 290 and SP Aquamatic drives. The High-speed propeller with long hub is developed from the standard propeller and features more blade area. In a fast boat this not only means increased speed, but also that a heavily loaded boat will plane more quickly and enjoy better fuel economy, and the increased blade area also provides faster and safer quayside manoeuvring. This propeller is the 14 x 21 size, left hand rotation.

🔌 Function

Converts the drive's shaft torque into thrust to move the boat, with the increased blade area of the high speed long hub form to hold its grip at high revs and under load.

• Pitting, erosion or a chalky white bloom over the blade faces
• Engine revs climbing without a matching gain in boat speed

• Volvo Penta's instruction for this range is to always use a long hub propeller on V6, V8, AQD40 and AQAD31/40/41 engines, and this is a long hub propeller
• Fit front and rear as a matched pair in the same size and hand; the pair for this size is 854994
• The published weight here is identical to that of 854995, so weight identifies nothing across the fifteen sizes in this range - order by the diameter, pitch and hand stamped on the propeller
• Installation hardware, long hub propeller: propeller cone 854045, locking screw 850889, plastic washer 850888 and the line cutter / thrust washer for the drive - 832965 for the 200, 839534 for the 250, 270 and 275, 839423 for the 280, 285, 290 and SP-A, and 872082 for the SP-A1, A2, C, C1 and E. Tool 873058.
• The propeller cone locking requires that the drive has an internally threaded propeller shaft intended for the locking screw, which was introduced on late production 270 and 280 drives but included as standard on newer drives. In some cases older drives have been updated using retrofit drilling and threading.
