🔌 Function

Provides the flat mounting face that its component bolts to, spreading the fixing load into the engine structure.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• The mounted component moving or knocking under load
• Cracks radiating from the fixing holes
• Plate distorted or bowed so it no longer sits flat
• Fixing holes elongated and the faces fretted bright

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the plate sits flat on its face before pulling the fasteners down - a bowed plate will crack again
• If you are working from the old number 858452, confirm whether the part removed was a plate or a rubber mounting element
