Seals a cooling system joint so the circuit holds pressure and coolant does not escape at the face.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Coolant weeping from the joint once the system is hot and pressurised
- Crusty deposit or coloured staining dried around the flange
- Header tank level falling slowly with no drip visible cold
- Gasket found swollen, softened or crushed thin on removal
- Pitted corrosion on the face under the old gasket
