859464 Washer | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta washer 1.02 mm thick, from the Fuel System group, weighing 0.014 kg and listed for 23 applications across the TWD, TID, TAMD, TD and TAD series. It supersedes part number 846960, which the earlier lists catalogued as an adjusting washer. Thickness is the identifying detail: adjusting washers 859356 at 1.30 mm and 859358 at 1.50 mm also appear in this run. Order by the stamped or measured thickness — the published weights do not separate this family.

⚙️ Key Features

• 1.02 mm thick
• Supersedes 846960, catalogued earlier as an adjusting washer
• 23 applications across the TWD, TID, TAMD, TD and TAD series
• Order by thickness — 859356 is 1.30 mm and 859358 is 1.50 mm

🔌 Function

Sets the shim thickness in a fuel system adjustment, taking up clearance so the assembly is built to its specified setting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Setting drifting out of specification between services
• Washer scored, bruised or picked up on either face
• Measured thickness no longer matching the stamped figure
• Corrosion or pitting on the washer face
• Assembly shimmed to the wrong thickness, giving a fault that will not adjust out

🛠️ Service Notes

• Micrometer the washer you removed rather than judging by eye — the steps in this family are close and mass is no guide at all
• Re-check the setting after fitting rather than assuming the same thickness goes back in
