  • Diesel weeping at the adapter rather than at either line
  • Sealing face scored, dented or picked up
  • Thread corroded or damaged so the joint will not pull down square
  • Fitting that has to be overtightened to stop weeping

  • Renew the sealing gasket whenever the adapter is disturbed
  • If the joint still weeps with a new gasket, inspect the adapter's sealing face — a scored face will not seal at any torque
