⚙️ Key Features

• 2.726 kg
• 34 applications across AD, D, TMD, HS and TAMD series
• Supersedes 860000
• Distinct from elbow 859963, which is for universal joint shaft installations

🔌 Function

Directs the exhaust gas away from the manifold outlet into the exhaust system, on the line the installation requires.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Black sooty staining or rusty streaking around a flange joint
• Puffing or ticking from the elbow, loudest when the engine is cold
• Wall perforated or wasted thin, commonly from the water side
• Flange faces pitted or bowed so gaskets blow soon after fitting
• Fixings seized, wasted or snapped on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

• An exhaust leak in an enclosed engine space is a carbon monoxide hazard and should be cured rather than tolerated
• Renew flange gaskets, studs and nuts along with the elbow
• Check the mating faces are flat before assembly; a bowed flange will destroy a new gasket in a season
