⚙️ Key Features

  • Supersedes 3582724 and 3582722
  • 0.535 kg
  • 36 applications across TAMD, AD, KAD and KAMD series
  • Cooling System group
  • Also supersedes Volvo part numbers 3581390, 3581392, 3581415 and 3803507

🔌 Function

Closes off the cooling system housing it fits, sealing the circuit and giving access to the internals when removed.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Coolant or sea water weeping from the joint face
  • Cover face corroded, pitted or wasted so the gasket cannot seal
  • Cover distorted or bowed between the fixings
  • Fixing threads corroded, stripped or pulled
  • Salt crust or staining building up around the cover

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the gasket or sealing ring whenever the cover comes off; a used one will not seal a second time
  • Both 3582724 and 3582722 also appear against hoses in this run, so if an old parts list quotes either number, check what the item actually is before ordering
  • Pull the fixings down evenly and in stages so the cover is not distorted
