• 0.045 kg

🔌 Function

Closes off and protects the electrical assembly it fits, keeping water, salt and debris away from the terminals and internals.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Cover cracked, split or with a fixing lug broken off
• Cover gone brittle, chalky or distorted from heat
• Water, salt or oil found behind a cover that is no longer sealing
• Corrosion on the terminals the cover is meant to protect
• Cover found loose, missing or refitted out of position

🛠️ Service Notes

• A missing or cracked cover is worth replacing promptly - the corrosion it lets in costs far more than the cover does
• Check the seal or gasket face and the fixings while the cover is off
