⚙️ Key Features

• 0.488 kg
• 38 applications across six engine series
• Cooling System group

🔌 Function

Closes and seals the opening it fits in the cooling circuit, holding the system's pressure and giving access when removed.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant loss with no external leak found, or the header level dropping steadily
• Overflow or expansion bottle filling repeatedly
• Sealing face of the cap corroded, pitted or with the seal perished
• Engine running hotter than it used to, or boiling over on a hard run
• Cap difficult to fit or turn, or found not fully home

🛠️ Service Notes

• A cooling system cap is a pressure component - if it will not hold pressure the system will boil at a lower temperature, so renew it rather than trying to reface the old one
• Cap 860755 is the other cap in this run, on a KAD and KAMD fitment only, and the two are not interchangeable
• Never open a cap on a hot engine
