🔌 Function

Fits into its housing to form the internal profile or seating the assembly requires at that point.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Insert found loose, displaced or turning in its bore
• Seating or sealing face scored, eroded or picked up
• Insert cracked or with a section broken away
• Corrosion or scaling wasting the insert body
• Leakage or bypass past the insert rather than through it

🛠️ Service Notes

• Insert 860636 is the other unclassified insert in this run and covers a different fitment list across six engine series - the fitment is what separates them, so order by part number
• Check the bore the insert sits in for wear or corrosion; a worn bore will let a new insert move
