  • Bore coked or restricted, starving the turbo of oil
  • Oil pressure dropping at the gauge

  • Renew the feed tube whenever a turbocharger is replaced, since debris from a failed bearing lodges in the bore
  • Check drain tube 861408 for restriction at the same time, as a blocked drain also kills a turbo
  • Prime the turbo with clean oil before the first start
