🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta hose from the Cooling System group, weighing 0.544 kg and listed for 15 applications across the TMD, TAMD and KAMD series. It supersedes six earlier numbers: 860640, 861089, 3582721, 3582722, 3582723 and 3582724. Unlike hoses 861737, 861738 and 861742 it carries no note naming the run it serves, so confirm the position against the engine before ordering.

⚙️ Key Features

  • From the Cooling System group
  • 0.544 kg
  • 15 applications across TMD, TAMD and KAMD engines
  • Supersedes 860640, 861089, 3582721, 3582722, 3582723 and 3582724

🔌 Function

Carries cooling water between two points on the engine, flexing with its movement without splitting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Coolant or sea water weeping from the hose ends
  • Hose soft, spongy or ballooned where the clips grip
  • Fine cracking that opens up when the hose is bent
  • Hose collapsing in service so flow drops away
  • Staining or salt crust tracking from the clip bands

🛠️ Service Notes

  • This hose shares superseded numbers with 861737, 861738 and repair kit 861671, so an old reference will not identify it on its own
  • Renew the clips with the hose and check the spigots for corrosion
