862066 Stop Washer | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta stop washer of the late type, from the Engine group, weighing 0.161 kg and listed for 12 applications across the TMD and TAMD series. It supersedes part numbers 836963 and 836962, which were catalogued earlier as a rubber cushion, so an older parts list will show a flexible mounting where the current listing gives a steel stop washer.

⚙️ Key Features

• Late type
• 0.161 kg
• Supersedes 836963 and 836962, both catalogued earlier as a rubber cushion
• 12 applications across the TMD and TAMD series
• 4 used per assembly

🔌 Function

Limits the travel of the component it backs and spreads the load over the face it bears against, so movement is caught by a hard stop rather than by the mounting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Excessive movement or knock from the mounting under load
• Washer found dished, cupped or worn bright on its bearing face
• Cracking radiating from the centre hole
• Fretting or hammer marks on the surface the washer sits against

🛠️ Service Notes

• Confirm you need the late type before ordering, since the numbers it replaces were listed as a rubber cushion and the parts are not the same shape
• Inspect the mating faces for hammering, as a worn seat will destroy a new washer
