⚙️ Key Features

• 0.703 kg
• Engine Controls group
• 33 applications across the TAD, TD, TWD and TID series

🔌 Function

Takes the operator's speed demand and sets the fuel pump control position, holding the engine at the speed asked for.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Engine speed hunting, surging or hanging instead of settling where it is set
• Control stiff, notchy, or slow to return towards idle
• Lost motion at the lever before the engine responds
• Pivots and rod ends found worn oval
• Speed setting drifting on its own during a passage

🛠️ Service Notes

• A speed control that sticks open is a safety matter - check the full travel and the return by hand before the engine is started, and again after any adjustment
• Renew worn rod ends and pins at the same time, as a new control on a worn linkage still gives lost motion
• Set and check the idle and maximum stops against the workshop manual after fitting
