🔌 Function

Carries the load of the assembly bolted to it and holds it in position against the engine block.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration or movement from the assembly the bracket carries
• Cracks radiating from the bolt holes or from a weld
• Bolt holes elongated or fretted bright
• Fasteners repeatedly working loose
• Mounted component sitting out of line with its mating part

🛠️ Service Notes

• Bracket 862473 is the opposite hand, marked S.B, and supersedes 820633 and 837587 instead; only 125 grams separate the two, so order by the marking rather than by weight
• Renew the fasteners and check the mating face is clean and flat before pulling the bracket down
• At over 10 kg this is a two-hand lift on a boat, so support it before releasing the last bolt
