⚙️ Key Features

• 0.136 kg
• 42 applications across four engine series
• Shaft to hub drive key

🔌 Function

Locks a hub to its shaft so the two turn together and the drive is not left to friction alone.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Knock or clatter on take-up and on load reversal
• Hub found loose on the shaft, or timing slipped from where it was set
• Key sheared, rolled over or hammered out of shape
• Keyway in shaft or hub worn wide, with bright fretted edges
• Repeat loosening of the retaining nut on the shaft

🛠️ Service Notes

• Inspect both keyways before fitting a new key, since a key can only be as good as the slots it sits in and a spread keyway will shear the new one too
• Fit the key dry and make sure it beds on its sides rather than on its top face

📦 Condition

• Genuine Volvo Penta part
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
