A genuine used MerCruiser flame arrestor for selected ECM 555 multi-port fuel-injection engines with mechanical throttle and shift controls.

This arrestor mounts over the throttle-body inlet on identified 4.3L V6, 5.0L V8, 5.7L / 350 MAG and 6.2L / 377 MPI engines. It uses a marine backfire-containment design while maintaining the airflow required by the EFI system.

🔌 Function

The flame arrestor permits the throttle body to draw combustion air while helping contain flame caused by an intake backfire. It also protects the throttle opening from larger debris.
