🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta air inlet weighing 0.445 kg and listed for 56 applications across TAD, TD, TWD and TID series engines. It consolidates two earlier numbers, 847322 and 849057, one of which was catalogued under its Swedish description, luftintag kompr 15,5.

🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: TAD, TD, TWD, TID

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.445 kg
  • Replaces 847322 and 849057
  • 56 applications across four engine series
  • One superseded number was listed as luftintag kompr 15,5

🔌 Function

Feeds air into the compressor inlet and seals the joint at that point.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Whistle or roar from the intake under load
  • Joint loose or the inlet creeping off its spigot
  • Cracks around the flange or a mounting boss
  • Dust tracks showing unfiltered air getting past the joint
  • Clamps corroded or found slack

🛠️ Service Notes

  • An older parts book may list 847322 under its Swedish name rather than as an air inlet
  • Renew the joint seal and clamps when fitting; any leak here puts unfiltered air into the engine
