  • Volvo Penta TAMD72WJ-A
  • Volvo Penta TAMD71A

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.499 kg
  • 5 applications on TAMD series engines
  • Shares its applications with brackets 865335 and 865336

🔌 Function

Vents crankcase gases away from the engine, carrying them to the inlet side or to atmosphere.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil mist or oil droplets escaping around the pipe
  • Crankcase pressure high, pushing oil past seals and the dipstick tube
  • Pipe partly blocked with oil sludge or emulsion
  • Pipe cracked, split or chafed at a support
  • Oily deposits building at the pipe's outlet end

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Clear or renew the pipe rather than only the seals it has blown — a restricted breather is usually the root cause
  • Check the crankcase ventilation filter or separator at the same time

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
