🔌 Function

Heats the combustion chamber before and during cranking so a cold engine will fire and run cleanly from the first turns.

  • Hard starting from cold that improves once the engine is warm
  • White or blue smoke and rough running for the first minute after a cold start
  • Preheat warning lamp behaving oddly or the circuit fuse blowing
  • Plug tip found swollen, blistered or burnt away
  • Open circuit when the plug is tested off the engine
