Genuine Volvo Penta sacrificial zinc nut anode that screws onto the propeller shaft nut, listed for 30 mm shafts with an M20 thread. ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• More than half the anode consumed
• White chalky bloom and a surface that crumbles when touched
• Anode intact but coated and passivated, so no longer protecting
• New corrosion or pitting showing on the shaft and propeller
• Anode able to turn on the shaft or move under hand pressure

🛠️ Service Notes

• Volvo Penta now recommends aluminium anodes for salt and brackish water rather than zinc, and is gradually phasing most zinc anodes out, so check the current listing before reordering zinc
• Check the nut thread as well as the shaft diameter, as 833913 covers the same 30 mm shaft on a Whitworth nut
• Renew when about half consumed and clean the seat to bright metal so the anode makes proper electrical contact
• Match the thread as well as the shaft diameter - the range mixes imperial and metric threads
