🔌 Function

Clamps the folding propeller onto the shaft taper and holds it against the torque and thrust of the drive.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Nut slackening so the propeller works on the taper
• Thread stretched, galled or damaged on removal
• Salt seizure or corrosion in the thread
• Vibration or a knock felt through the hull under power
• Old tab washer found flattened, showing the nut has moved

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit with a new tab washer - 873488 is the M20 version - and turn the tab up against a flat of the nut
• The four-blade range also lists an M24 nut, 3587422, so confirm the thread on your shaft before ordering
• Hub kits exclude the nut and key, so add this and the shaft key to the order
