⚙️ Key Features

  • 24V
  • 0.308 kg
  • 169 applications across six engine series
  • Supersedes 8143028

🔌 Function

Sounds the audible alarm that warns the operator of a fault condition.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • No sound at all when an alarm condition occurs
  • Weak, rasping or intermittent note
  • Horn sounding continuously with no fault present
  • Corrosion around the body or terminals after water ingress
  • Mounting bracket cracked or the horn loose on its fixing

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Treat a silent alarm horn as urgent — it is the only warning the operator gets of an overheat or oil pressure fault
  • Confirm the system is 24V before ordering
  • Test the alarm circuit through the panel after fitting rather than assuming the new horn works
