Genuine Volvo Penta engine oil pressure instrument, 52 mm, with a black face and a 0-7 bar scale, weighing 0.111 kg and listed for 294 applications across D, V and VMM series engines. It is not listed for D1 or D2 engines, or for D3 A-C up to model year 2009. It consolidates three earlier numbers — 849849, 873197 and 873198. Those same three are also replaced by 874919, the black 0-100 psi version, so the old number does not settle the choice: order by face colour and by whether the panel reads bar or psi. The white-faced versions are 874923 in bar and 874932 in psi.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Needle reading zero with the engine running and pressure proven
• Reading that does not fall as the oil warms through
• Needle pegged hard at the top of the scale
• Backlighting out behind a working needle
• Condensation or staining behind the glass

• Confirm real oil pressure with a mechanical test gauge before replacing the instrument — this is a warning circuit and a wrong diagnosis here is worth getting right
• Order by units and colour: 874919 is black psi, 874923 white bar and 874932 white psi, and all four supersede the same earlier numbers
• It is not listed for D1/D2 or for D3 A-C up to model year 2009, so check the engine before ordering
