🔌 Function

Supplies the wet liner and its sealing parts, forming the running bore the piston works in.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant loss with no external leak, or coolant pushing back into the header tank
• Water in the oil or oil pressure dropping after a soak
• A ridge or scoring felt at the top of the bore
• Blue smoke and rising oil consumption on one cylinder
• Cavitation pitting found on the outside of the liner at strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the engine serial number before ordering, as the breakpoint at 2071097292 is what separates this kit from the later listing
• Old number 877106 also sits behind gasket kit 876565 and overhaul gasket kit 876705, so those are commonly ordered with it
• Measure liner protrusion on assembly and use the correct coolant inhibitor to keep cavitation pitting away
