🔌 Function

Seals the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold and the oil and air connections that serve it.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• A sharp hiss or whistle from the turbo mounting that rises with boost
• Soot staining around the turbine flange
• Boost pressure down and the engine feeling flat with smoke on load
• Oil weeping from the turbo feed or drain connections
• Gaskets found blown, charred or crushed at strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• An exhaust leak at the turbine flange is a carbon monoxide risk in an enclosed engine space, so deal with it before running the engine again
• Old number 877106 also sits behind cylinder liner kit 876548 and overhaul gasket kit 876705, so the three are commonly called up together
• Check the oil drain is clear and the flange faces are flat before refitting
