⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping from a housing seam
  • Milky or emulsified oil showing water has got in
  • Gaskets found hard, torn or crushed when the housing is opened
  • A joint that keeps seeping after retightening

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the whole kit when the housing is opened rather than reusing any of the old gaskets
  • Check the housing faces for corrosion pitting, which will stop a new gasket sealing
