Although sometimes described as a delivery hose, Mercury identifies 881518T as the fuel delivery pipe. It supports the four injectors, receives regulated fuel and distributes it evenly across the engine's inline four-cylinder intake system.

🔌 Function


The pipe stores a small volume of regulated fuel and supplies equal pressure to all four injectors while retaining the injectors and associated sealing components in position.


Common signs of failure:


• Petrol leaking around an injector seat

• Corrosion or contamination inside the pipe

• Fuel pressure falls during acceleration

• Engine runs lean on one or more cylinders

• Strong petrol smell beneath the cowling

• Injector seals no longer seat correctly

• Cracked or damaged mounting points
