🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta brace weighing 3.379 kg. It replaces 885013, which was catalogued earlier as an assembly tool, so a number ordered under that description now comes through as this brace. It is a load-bearing workshop item with no engine applications listed against it.
⚙️ Key Features
- Replaces 885013, previously catalogued as an assembly tool
- Workshop tool, not a fitted part
- 3.379 kg
- Frame 885145 at 2.332 kg is the other structural item here
🔌 Function
Braces an assembly or a tool against its working load, holding the reaction so nothing moves under force.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Cracks starting at a weld or a bolt hole
- Bent or buckled after an overload
- Fixing holes fretted or elongated
- Threads stretched at the mounting points
- Corrosion at the highly loaded sections
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the brace over before every load, since a buckled brace lets the whole assembly move at once
- If a manual calls for assembly tool 885013, this is the number that supersedes it
