🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta puller 885185, listed at 0.81 kg. Twelve pullers appear in this run and 885371 is listed at 0.853 kg, only 43 grams apart, so weight is no guide at all — order by the number the procedure quotes.
⚙️ Key Features
- 0.81 kg
- Only 43 grams separate it from puller 885371
- One of twelve pullers in this tool block
- Genuine Volvo Penta service tooling
🔌 Function
Draws a bearing, gear, hub or pulley off its shaft under controlled load, taking the pull on the component rather than on the parts around it.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Legs bent, splayed or cracked at the hook
- Centre screw tight, galling or seized in its thread
- Screw tip mushroomed or chewed
- Puller slipping off the component as load comes on
- Yoke or bridge distorted, so the pull is no longer square
🛠️ Service Notes
- Set the pull square and keep clear of the line of the tool — a puller that lets go under load throws its legs
- Grease the centre screw and its thrust point before loading; a dry screw galls and reads as a seized component
📦 Condition

- Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
