🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta sleeve, part number 885734, published at 1.327 kg. Volvo Penta's special tools catalogue lists it on page 93 as a Sleeve for the IPS-A, IPS-B, IPS-C, IPS-D, IPS-E and IPS-F pod drives. It is a workshop tool rather than a fitted engine component, and since all six sleeves in this run share that same product list the part number is what identifies it.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Catalogued as a Sleeve
  • For IPS-A to IPS-F pod drives
  • 1.327 kg
  • Workshop tool, not an engine part
  • Ordered by part number

🔌 Function

Spaces or guides a component during a press or drive, bearing on it where load can safely be taken.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Working faces bruised, worn or burred
  • Ends no longer square, so the tool sits off true
  • Bend or permanent set after an overload
  • Cracks at a section change
  • Corrosion pitting after damp storage

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Sleeves 885690, 885710, 885711, 3849592 and 3849594 carry the same designation and the same product list, so order strictly by number

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
