88820005 Tool | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta tool weighing 0.186 kg, one of a numbered run of workshop tools listed together here. Puller 88820021 in the same series is published at exactly the same 0.186 kg, so if both are on the bench the weight will not separate them — go by the name stamped on the tool and by the part number.

⚙️ Key Features

• 0.186 kg
• Part of a numbered run of workshop tools listed together here
• Shares its published weight with puller 88820021
• No engine application list — ordered by part number

🔌 Function

Performs one step of a workshop procedure that cannot be done properly with general-purpose tools.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Working faces worn, burred or chipped
• Tool slipping or cocking in use
• Bending or distortion after being loaded beyond its purpose
• Marks left on the component it works against
• Cracks around welds, shoulders or changes of section

🛠️ Service Notes

• Special tools are matched to particular engine and drive families — check the tool against the procedure in the workshop manual for your engine before ordering, as an almost-right tool will damage what it touches
• Use the tool only for the operation it was designed for, and do not add bars, extensions or leverage to make it reach further or pull harder than intended
• Inspect before every use and retire anything cracked, bent, spread at the jaws or worn in the threads rather than persevering with it
• Clean, dry and lightly oil the tool after use and store it where the working faces cannot be knocked out of true
