🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta Multilink extension cable, 10.0 feet (3.0 m) long and 8-way, from the Cables and Fuses group, weighing 0.599 kg and listed for 96 applications on D series engines. Length and the Multilink marking are what separate it from the 5.0 m cable 888249 and the 9.0 m cable 888251, so measure the run before ordering.

🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: D
  • HP Range: 110-220 HP

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 10.0 feet (3.0 m) long
  • 8-way
  • Multilink
  • 0.599 kg
  • 96 applications on D series engines

🔌 Function

Extends an 8-way Multilink harness run between two units by a fixed length.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Instrument or control dropping out intermittently, often when the loom is moved
  • Green or white powder on the connector pins
  • Outer sheath chafed, cut or crushed where it passes a bulkhead
  • Connector latch broken, so the plug backs out under vibration
  • Pins pushed back or bent in the housing

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Keep the number of connector pairs in a run to a minimum, as each joint is another place for water and voltage drop to get in
  • The 5.0 m cable is 888249 and the 9.0 m cable is 888251, so measure the route before ordering
  • Support the cable clear of hot or moving parts and leave a drip loop at each connector

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
